Group Buy Unrefined Sea Salts

Our long awaited group for for Unrefined Sea Salts from Saltworks is finally here!

We only order sel gris de Guérande (Grey Sea Salt) once a year so you don’t want to miss out! Due to survey results, this year I’ve decided to add Himalayan Pink Salt (Fine Grain)!

Please expect to pick up your salt order in 1 to 2 weeks. See my gift idea below. During the holidays I gift this salt to friends and family and they absolutely love it!

Grey Sea Salt Description
The French perfected the art of high quality, hand-harvested sea salt by using centuries old Celtic methods. It’s no coincidence they produce the finest grey sea salt in the world. Sel Gris is known for its beautiful grey color, coming from the clay lining the salt ponds, as well as its high moisture content and extraordinary mineral content, with bonus nutrients not found in most sea salts. Over 15% of the material in sel gris de Guérande are trace minerals—possibly the highest of any salt anywhere. 100 grams of sel gris contains about 100 minerals, including 34g of sodium, 287mg calcium, 109mg potassium, 34mg magnesium, 11mg iron, 1mg manganese, and 0.35mg zinc, plus a host of trace minerals like from antimony, copper, germanium, and gold to iodine, to palladium, yttrium, and zirconium.

Sel Gris Tamisé is a medium-sized crystal that is carefully sifted from the brut grains and is comparable to the size of Fleur de Sel. Great for baking and cooking, or to add a delicate crunch to your favorite dish.

Sel Gris Fine is the very same high quality grey salt as the coarser varieties, but is stone ground for easy dispensing from a salt shaker. No additives of any kind are mixed with the salt. The naturally delicious flavor of grey salt and its lower sodium content make this a perfect replacement for ordinary table salt.

Himalayan Pink Salt (Fine Grain)
100% natural, Ancient Ocean® Himalayan Pink Salt is one of the purest salts available on earth. Mined from deep in the Himalayan Mountains, this salt crystallized more than 200 million years ago and remains protected from modern-day pollution and impurities. It contains more than 84 trace minerals and none of the additives or aluminum compounds found in refined table salt. All of our Himalayan salt products are “Gourmet Food Grade” and the very highest quality Himalayan salt available.

Fine grain Himalayan Pink Salt presents many exciting culinary uses. Add it to your translucent salt shaker where dinner guests and family will appreciate its lovely pink hue. Rub into meats, or sprinkle over vegetables before roasting or grilling. There are so many ways this pristine, all-natural Himalayan salt will add depth and dimension to your meals while offering many benefits to the body.

Characteristics: All-natural red & white speckled crystals, high mineral content, dry, gourmet food grade, Optically Clean®

Gift Idea- Pour unrefined sea salt into a decorative glass jar, add beautiful ribbon and it’s the perfect gift for anyone who enjoys cooking! You can even add a card with the description above. Makes a perfect Hostess gift too!

Milk Kefir

We make milk kefir at Rancho Alegre Farm and we also have kefir grains available if you’d like to make your own! Just shoot me an e-mail for prices and availability!

Milk kefir grains are live active cultures consisting of yeast and bacteria existing in a symbiotic relationship. Adding the kefir grains to fresh milk yields a delicious probiotic drink in about 24 hours. The term “kefir grains” describes the look of the culture only, which resembles cauliflower. Kefir grains contain no actual “grains” such as wheat, rye, etc. Milk kefir can be enjoyed plain, flavored, or used in many recipes, like salad dressing, bread, and ice cream.

We also have SUPER fun and informative workshops available, so don’t miss out!

The Market is open Thursday at 9am – Monday at noon.
After Monday at noon, ordering is disabled until Thursday morning.
Pick up your order Tuesday from 4-7pm only at Rancho Alegre Farm at 2225 Givens Road, Dacula, GA 30019. New to The Market?

UPDATE CONTACT With all the hustle and bustle of back-to-school and new routines, it’s easy to forget things like picking up your TCH order. Remember that we can’t keep your items past 12pm, and we’ll try contacting you any way we know how to make sure you get what you ordered. Now’s a great time to check the phone number on your account to make sure it’s a number I can reach you at 11:45am on a Saturday. I start calling everyone who hasn’t picked up yet then, and will keep trying to reach you until 12pm, when we have to pack it all up. I hate seeing people’s food go somewhere else, and having a good phone number on your account is the best way to keep that from happening.
